This project was on the cutting room floor of my hard drive. I was working with EMI/Capitol Records on compiling snippets of Fat Joe’s best material, accompanied by some pull-quotes from an interview we did of the similar nature for the Complex music page. It was never released due to a few obstacles—in trying to format it similar to Deconstructing Mickey Factz), plus the delay of Fat Joe’s J.O.S.E. 2. The material is dated, as are some of Joe’s comments, which I’ve heard him use in a few interviews since I sat on this compilation. Either way, it’s still a good listen, despite the “hiss” sound I tried to lower in the mixdown of each track. Download below.
